Newyorkland (The Score)

Merging film, installation and performance, Newyorkland is an intertextual assemblage that combines cop movies, documentaries, police procedurals and firsthand accounts of real-life police officers.

Total integration of a dynamic soundscape is another key element in the foundation of this work.
For Newyorkland, we are offering this experience as an independent score that can be appreciated outside the context of the live event.

John Sully is the resident composer for Temporary Distortion. He has created music and sound for
Welcome to Nowhere, Americana Kamikaze and An Instrument for the Measure of Absence.
He is currently composing the score for Temporary Distortion’s feature film adaptation of Welcome to Nowhere.
